All the Wellness Protocols offered at Mogambo Springs are Holistic, aimed at making the whole person well, rather than merely targeting symptoms of un-wellness. Accordingly, they require a higher level of engagement and commitment than other “band-aid” programs offered by quacks around Asia and the Philippines.

Graceful Aging

Do you want to look Eternally Youthful? Play tennis with the stamina of Roger Federer, eat without gaining weight, make love daily like the stars of Fifty Shades of Grey?

Then go somewhere else.

Plantation Bay’s Graceful Aging Protocol is not for People in Denial. It is for grown-ups who understand that they are entering a new phase of their lives, accept it, and want to make the best of it.

As we age, our bodies, minds, and spirits need to make adjustments. Plantation Bay is here to help. The cornerstones of our Graceful Aging Protocol are:

  • Education about the latest developments in science and psychology as they relate to the process of aging.
  • Guidance toward a daily habit of physical exercises to re-tone muscles, re-balance bodies, and compensate for less-efficient mitochondria.
  • Guidance toward a daily habit of mental exercises to teach your mind how to heal itself while developing new neural connections every day for the rest of your life.
  • Proper nutrition and supplementation, to take advantage of the curative powers of eating the right foods and avoiding the wrong ones (including excessive/combined use of the wrong medicines, which in our opinion include statins, NSAIDs like ibuprofen, and anti-cholinergics like Benadryl). Food-wise, we counsel against a diet with too much: high or unnecessary carbs, instant noodles, seed oils, processed meats like hot dogs and Spam, and Ultra-high Processed foods (almost everything sold in a supermarket that was baked or fried). We also believe that saturated fats and cholesterol-rich foods are natural parts of a good diet, contributing to eating satisfaction, with little or no clinical evidence that they lead to higher mortality. The American demonization of all saturated fats for the past 50 years has coincided with an explosion in obesity and metabolic disease, as carbohydrates and synthetic materials were needed to make up for the loss in palatability.
  • Social and Emotional Connection. Purpose and Flow. Some of this will involve watching 3-5 movies of your choice from our list of thought-provoking films, and discussing them afterwards.

How much is it worth to you to make your senior years safer and more fruitful? Plantation Bay’s 8-night, 9-day Graceful Aging Protocol costs just US$ 4200 for two persons sharing an Upper-Level Beachside Room, All-Inclusive, or US$ 3600 for single-occupancy, both with a cancellation option after two days.

On your first day, we will welcome you to the resort by 3 pm, or earlier if your room is available. We will ask you to turn off your phone and use it sparingly, only in the privacy of your room, never at meals or with our staff. Your first half-hour will be spent answering a somewhat detailed questionnaire about yourself, in long-hand. No keyboard. Don’t ask us to send you the form in advance, because you’ll over-think your answers.

By 4:30 pm or so, we will start your physical training with our carefully-selected Ten 1-Minute Exercises, intended to be performed twice daily (upon waking and at about 5 pm). You will probably fall on the mat doing some of them; we will help you up; you will continue. During your entire stay, in order to develop the exercise habit, you will report to the Spa at 7 am and again at 5 pm to perform the exercises with a coach.

After the exercises we will watch a few informative YouTube videos with you, then end the afternoon with a handwritten composition — People I Really Despise, and Why; afterwards your paper will be burned.

Your dinner will be a low-carb, no-sugar meal such as grilled chicken or pan-fried salmon, and a Dairy-free, Allulose-sweetened ice cream home-made in Plantation Bay. You may have wine or one of our Instant Craft Cocktails with dinner, but not beer or anything sugary, including fruit juice.

On the morning of your second day, after the exercises, we will watch a video about how Balancing Practice can develop new brain connections and save you from future falls. Then enjoy a breakfast of two fried eggs with sausage and buttered 100% whole wheat toast, green tea or coffee (no milk, but sweetened with Allulose if you wish). We will vary your breakfast during your stay, or help you skip it altogether if you are diabetic and need to shift to a lifetime 2-meals-daily regimen. (If you cheat behind our backs, that’s up to you.)

At 9 am, we will start with Tai Chi training, the time-proven Graceful Aging measure. Then we will discuss Poisonous Modern Food and Medicine and watch some related videos. By about 10 am you will be free until lunch. We suggest you relax in the Spa’s many pools, sauna, or steam room.

At 2 pm we’ll watch a movie and talk about it.

At 4 pm you will have any 60 minute massage you like at the Spa. (You’ll enjoy Spa therapies daily around this time.)

Past 5, you can do the Ten 1-Minute Exercises, followed by another handwriting assignment — The Biggest Mistakes I Made in My Life; your paper will be burned. To get the most value out of these afternoon handwriting sessions, please put real thought and self-evaluation into them.

For dinner, enjoy All-You-Can-Eat at Palermo or Fiji Restaurant, but total carbs for the meal must be limited to 40 grams — enough for a few french fries or a Plantation Bay sugar-free ice cream.

And so on.

Before you choose to sign up for Plantation Bay’s Graceful Aging Protocol, we want you to know we will be recommending supplements. The belief that a “balanced diet” gives you all the nutrients you need is false, especially considering how most foods have been stripped of most of their nutrients by ultra-processing. Please clear with your doctor beforehand, or get a different doctor: NAD, Sulforaphane (Cruciferous Vegetables), Green Tea, Olive Leaf, Magnesium, L-Theanine, Black Seed Oil, Nattokinase, Psyllium-Inulin Fiber Capsules, Inulin Gummies, and Probiotics. Depending on your answers to the questionnaire, we may also recommend other widely-accepted supplements such as Vitamin D-K, Alpha-Tocopherol, Potassium, Melatonin, Aloe Vera, Turmeric, Lutein, Astaxanthin, or Lycopene.

Day 3: After morning exercises and breakfast, we’ll try some puzzles and mental-function exercises, then re-learn how to walk, how to climb stairs, how to get up from the floor, and cover similar practical matters.

If you’re not satisfied with the Protocol at this point, you have the option to cancel. Please advise us before 11 am so you can check out by noon, and we will refund what you paid less US$ 800 (whether couple or single).
