Please discuss with your physician before booking our Weight Wellness program. Not all doctors will agree with our recommendations; but then, why should they? You’re the golden goose.
- Education. Which foods nurture, which pre-dispose to weight gain, which are practically toxic. Fats are not the villain; carbohydrates and overprocessed foods are (that’s most of what you eat daily, starting with white rice and bread). How to substitute for the worst offenders.
- Personal eating habits. Do you need three meals a day? Probably not. Do you chew slowly and enjoy your food, or just shovel it in? Better to chew. Do you snack? Not if you want to keep the weight off. Should you do Intermittent Fasting? We strongly urge you to. Should you go “Keto”? Not the way keto enthusiasts think.
- A healthy gut biome. Kefir, not yogurt. Both soluble and insoluble fiber to feed your good bacteria. Water at the right times.
- Exercise. Can’t avoid this, but it’s easier than you think to maintain muscle mass and keep metabolic fires burning.
- Supplementation. A few selected phytonutrients and one surprising before-bed snack, can help with fat loss and blood sugar levels.
- Cholesterol — is not per se the villain. Statins and overweight are.
- Insulin sensitivity and a viable approach to curing diabetes (or at least avoiding its worst effects).
- Mind over body. Hypno-therapy to quell the inner voices that make you want to fail at losing weight.

Upon your arrival, members of our Wellness team will go over all of these with you during your first afternoon. Specifically, they will:
- Suggest a range of supplements and nutrients to try during your program, and take on a continuing basis if you find them beneficial.
- Teach you our 10-minute Exercise Routine, to be done upon waking and again around 5 pm.
- Discuss with you whether to go on a two-meals-daily regime (first meal at 12:30) or three-meals-daily. Snacking is not permitted; if you cheat, you’re just cheating yourself. Our chefs will design your eating schedule and choices accordingly.
- Give you a number to call in case you have a snack craving and need your hand held and a palliative low-glycemic bite to tide you over till the next meal.
- Warn you that the following morning at 7 am you will have blood drawn at our clinic; test results will be discussed with you the afternoon of the second day.
- Arrange for a staff member to dine with you during your first meal, to counsel you about best practices for eating (water or soup first, then protein and fats, carbs last).
- Show you the first of many educational videos on a wide range of subjects.
- Starting the first full day, the Protocol includes a daily one-hour massage, daily full-body red light therapy, and daily Sensory Isolation session with hypno-therapy.
